At TACC, through our industry leading policies, principles, and practices, we maintain a safe working environment for every single employee and contractor.
We believe that all accidents and personal injuries are preventable by collective cooperation and effort on the part of all managers, supervisors, and employees. As a leader in the provision of heavy civil infrastructure services, our employees are the most vital part of our success. For this reason, we will continue to take every reasonable precaution for their physical health, mental health, safety, and well-being. From the frontline workforce to our president, safety is everyone’s responsibility.
TACC maintains a rigorous health and safety management system that holds every employee accountable, including all subcontractors and companies we partner with. Employees participate in industry safety programs and yearly supervisor and worker training. Our ongoing commitment to improvement ensures safety equipment is proactively upgraded.
TACC is certified under the ISO 45001 standard, the internationally recognized benchmark for occupational health and safety management systems. We are also among the few employers in the heavy civil construction industry accredited by Ontario’s Ministry of Labour through the Supporting Ontario Safe Employers (SOSE) Program.
To recognize outstanding safety efforts, TACC hosts an annual Safety Awareness and Awards Presentation for all employees. Representatives from Management, IHSA, Union partners, Accreditation Bodies, and other safety organizations participate in this event to help reinforce TACC’s strong commitment to health and safety.
TACC Service Safety Awards are presented to employees who have achieved consecutive years without a lost-time injury. This annual event celebrates the dedication of our workforce and highlights their ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
